Seizures are a widespread condition affecting 50~65 million people in the world, and newborns also susceptible to them. EEG is used monitor brain activity of with suspected injuries, followed by qualitative waveform interpretation group clinical experts, where means towards detection seizures include set distinct characteristics waveform. This seizure has been critiqued, particularly due subjectivity where, at times, reviewing clinicians fail reach consensus on presence newborn. As dealing this problem, author investigated use Artificial Intelligence-driven prediction machines capable an automated diagnosis seizure, based newborn’s approach reduced selection electrodes, Linear Series Decomposition Learner (LSDL), ensemble features, performance comparison across multiple classification models. Secondary work was carried out, which leveraged patient information available alongside dataset. involved predicting level asphyxia within neonatal brain. The results from exercise showed increment when preprocessed LSDL. spanned range figures (depending model), highest accuracy 88.1%, while probabilistic extent provided maximum 93.5%. secondary analysis for 89.1%. obtained have helped demonstrate that electrode segments, selected algorithms, can serve intensive care unit.
